Haas Mill 101

This one-day course familiarizes attendees with the Haas NGC control along with day-to-day mechanical aspects of the machine. Topics include axis assignments, power up, all displays & modes, control navigation, setting tool & work offsets manually, lube requirements, and G & M codes for machine options. Media Display, Networking, Haas Automation on-line resources & apps, and basic maintenance will also be discussed.

VPS Mill Programming

This course will cover the use of the Table Probe to set tools and the Spindle Probe to find work offsets on a part. Along with the use of the probe, students will learn the use of the different machining functions that are part of the Visual Programming System. Each student will have the opportunity to use both the Table Probe for setting different tools and the Spindle Probe to find offsets on different types of work geometry.

This one day course covers systems of programming (G90 & G91), program preparation, program structure, common G & M codes - linear, circular, mode & canned cycles, miscellaneous functions, and programming exercises.
